laughter really is the best medicine Laughter really is the best medicine and certainly can improve performance and weight loss. Likewise being a miserable git will help you into a early grave, keep fat on and stop your body functioning properly. There are loads of studies talking about the effects of being happy, laughter, not hating and the amazing health benefits of them all. In one amazing study, sixteen men watched a funny video, afterwards they tested the mens hormonal change.
Its super hard to try and stay happy and positive and have laughter in your life, however you could say if its a matter or life or death........ could you be happier? The best tip here is to love everyone, dont hold grudges, anger or resentment because if you do your body will be constantly in a stressed state which will surely put you in an early grave. A native american folk story An elder was imparting wisdom onto his grandson, he was talking about his conflict. "i have two wolves fighting in my heart . "One wolf is vengeful, fearful, enviuos, resentful and deceitful. The other wolf is loving, generous, truthful and serene." The grandson asked,"which one will win the fight?. The grandfather responded "the one i feed. Just watched this movie which, is a true story based on American personal trainers in the 90's who are not happy with their lot in life and decide to kidnap and murder people in order to make themselves wealthy. A bit of a blockbuster with the ROCK and MARK WAHLBERG, it's a crime comedy-although after reading into it, it's horrific and shouldn't be a comedy, however it's more the fitness content than the politics of the situation that got me. Some of the comments that the personal trainer wahlberg mentioned during the film were: we all start the same, heroes are self made and people squander their gifts. So thinking about these three comments below are my understandings of the comments in respect to health. we all start the same We do more than you will ever know: Roughly only a 5% DNA difference between all of us, so between the superstars of sport and folk that live on their sofas have only a tiny separation. The remainder is all in our head, I understand that some people that dont achieve think this is stat is rubbish, only it's not...between having a six pack and a keg is all in your head redardless of what you think. heroes are self made Nelson mandela, Bradley wiggins, Andy murray, every professional athlete and other people who i respect massively for being amazing have one thing in common-they believe and spend every hour they need to, to achieve. I am sporty and hold fitness types in a high esteem, however i understand they are not the be all and end all. But literally there is a mountain of proof stating that if you think you will be an athlete you will be and if you think you can't achieve anything then you cannot. So sort out your head and stop making excuses, am i being tough? not at all i have seen enough people turn around their fortunes to realise it's all in your head. people squander their gifts So bearing in mind that you share 95% of your DNA withthe rest of the world including Mandela and wiggins, .........................whats stopping you, which is a great book about self belief by Robert Kelsey. Right i have seen and read a lot of horror stories about people that have been overweight and an insensitive person has ridiculed or publicly ruined them or they have been kicked off a plane or bus because they are too fat. These people have got home and got fit and healthy(athletic) every time. Which proves beyond all doubt Its all in your head so stop making excuses, if there is a issue i promise you that you can sort it. If you need help though drop me a line on 01913874222 or check out my page. HONESTLY EXCUSES ARE ONLY FOR YOU - NO BODY ELSE BELIEVES THEM Trust between clients and personal trainers is something like the bond between a priest and his flock This is a tough - ish blog, but i know people need help and i can do that very well as i have a huge amount of empathy. I may have just said its all in your head-and it is, but the way i live my life is all in my head too and i can promise you it's far from perfect. So just because we are all the same physically it doesnt mean you dont need help, because you probably do, without the eduacation of fitness and education it most likely wont work for you. glenn hill personal trainer UK/NE So many ladies have tried this diet, that diet, herbalife, weight watchers, juice plus and body by vi etc. You get the idea, the word diet comes from a latin word meaning way of life. However nowadays a diet is something that is generally agreed to be short term, you start and finish a diet, and thats one of the reasons why they dont work, studies suggest that 95% of people who lose weight on a diet regain it. This figures are shocking other figures state that women lose their body weight up to 9 times in their life, again due to dieting. The reason a very low calorie diet cannot work long term: A very low calorie diet will put you in a catbolic state and you will be burning fat, however burning muscle too, it has been proven time and time again that your metabolism is linked to how much lean muscle you hold. Muscle burns more fat than fat at rest (metabolism), this we know but this is just half the story. More muscle makes you heavier and ensures a higher (NEAT) count, non exercise activity thermogenesis or the amount of calories it takes to move your body doing normal activities like walking the dog. Dieting with out doing resistance training can cause 30 to 50% of the weight loss to come from lean tissue, this means you are losing some fat but slowing your metabolism down greatly. You will put more fat back on due to a slower metabolism. What can you do? .Don't ever do anything called a diet (short term), .Have more lean protein in your diet(especially at breakfast - no cereal) .Cut down on packaged food and bad carbs, bread, pasta, cakes, sugars .Throw some weights around...ask ladies at leisure staff advice on this .No more slow cardio(can remove muscle too) try more intense short bursts and remember A SIMPLE STRATEGY FOR FAT LOSS IS NEVER LOSE MUSCLE Glenn(trying to keep the muscle on) hill Diets make you fatter in Newcastle - 01913874222
My name is glenn and i am a personal trainer & nutrition geek working in County Durham in ladies at leisure gym. I am not jumping on any band wagon here or trying to persuade ladies that are on a diet to quit it. I would just love to educate ladies about diets, exercise and living a happier life, that's why I do my job after all. Americam studies suggest that 95% of dieters eventually put more weight back on, below i will outline why this happens and why it is essential to conduct resistance training. Probably the 5% that don't are the lucky individuals who learn about the right way and start eating right and doing weights. The main issue is that dieting without resistance training(weights) can cause 30 to 50% of your weight loss to come from lean tissue(muscle). We already know now that the amount of lean muscle we hold is a prime controller for our metabolism and basal metabolic rate(how much fat we burn while chilling out). So lose a load of weight on a diet and reduce your muscle by half, potentially stopping your metabolism and ensuring weight loss becomes imposssible in the future. You might slip back up to the same weight as before, but this time you hold less muscle which means you will have a bigger fat percentage - slower fat burning. So fitness professionals could argue that diets are fuelling the issue they claim to cure. The reason we get fat is often due to poor habits eating and exercise, so a short term sollution simply doesnt work. Even if you lose loads of weight, potentially half is muscle which can make you burn fat like a very old person. That is why old people get fat, its not just old age, sarcopenic obesity: getting fat because you lose muscle year on year. After 25-30 yrs of age you roughly lose 3KG of muscle every decade snowballing between 40-50, this is why you get fat (middle aged spread) sarcopenia. So if you get fat because you lose muscle with age why would you do anything, including dieting to reduce that muscle. MY TOP TIP - TO LOSE FAT NEVER LOSE MUSCLE If you must go to a diet club, then you must - must do some weights, even the government who are not good at health now recommend weights for more mature individuals. In conclusion; stop dieting just eat whole food, lots of clean protein and do some weights. Tonight actually I had a domino's winter warmer pizza deal, I never managed to eat it all as it's a beast. The funny thing was when the driver turned up he said: " that's not a good advert is it? pizza with fitness" when he looked at my personal trainer car. So i said "everything in moderation, and i believe this ladies" You know, at the moment i probably train about 3 or 4 hours a week, some of the ladies in my gym will do that in a day (honest). I am carrying an injury though - the key thing is even with the little i train and having a pizza and a bottle of wine i think i am still in great shape. If you say age is the issue...rubbish i will be 40 this year and it's not too hard....stop making excuses. This could be you too, its about quality and definately not quantity, actually quantity can be ruining your training in some cases. Too much slow cardio and such like can produce a large amount of muscle stripping cortisol (muscle stripping stress hormone), so quality is what it's all about. The better your week of training and nutrition, the more you can treat yourself. However if you have real weight issues forget the treats for the time being. (this is a chance to lose a load of weight and change your life) Ladies, January is the usual new year new thing, however you don’t need to wait for the new year to roll around to start making a massive change in your life. LaKeisha Shurn from Berkeley, CA USA spent the last 100 days going to the gym and documenting her weight loss journey, and her results show not just a healthier person, but a happier one. In her first video, LaKeisha reveals that she’s at 348 pounds and suffers from low self-esteem and depression. “I always just thought of myself as someone who was unattractive and was not fit to be married or have kids,” she says in her video diary. LaKeisha who looks very unhappy on day one wows to go to the gym for 100 days, and she does just that. In the video we see footage of her running on the treadmill, working the machines and taking group exercise classes at 24 Hour Fitness. After LaKeisha’s 100 Days, she dropped from a size 26 to a size 22 and found the self-esteem that had been missing in her life. “I want you to see how one person really changes everything about their life,” she says. LaKeisha’s 100-day program was inspired by Give it 100, the online community curated by Karen Cheng. Last year, Karen recorded her progress as she taught herself how to dance in 100 Days, and soon after started Give It 100 to inspire others to accomplish their goal, be it learning to dance, lose weight, or any sort of project that takes patience and dedication to complete. I was thinking, my job is helping people and i was wondering how could i help to inspire the ladies of chester le street?

Glenn Hill Personal Training So ladies in order to lose weight effectively there are a number of ways, i am a big fan of carb cycling at the moment. Works really well, however if you just take in 20% less calories than you need you should lose weight. Ensure you eat properly though, no packaged processed rubbish, big protein meal for breakfast etc. Got a calculation for you below, its dead simple. 655+(9.6 x weight in kg)+(1.8 x height in cm) - (4.7 x age in years) = BMR (how many calories to maintain) an example a 65kg, 150cm 45 yr old female 655+(624)+(270)-(211.5)=1337.5 so BMR is 1337.5 calories This would be to maintain, this doesn't take into consideration how much exercise you are doing or reducing calories . So multiply BMR by activity below. Activity Sedentary, little or no exercise BMR x 1.2 Lightly active BMR x 1.375 Moderately 3-5 sessions BMR x 1.55 Very active 6-7 sessions BMR x 1.725 So 1337.5 x (1.55 moderate activity) = 2073.125 so roughly 2000 calories 2000 calories to maintain your weight, however to lose weight you should be in slight deficit, 20 % is a good reduction of calories. Last calculation: 2073.125 x 0.20= 414.6, so you need to reduce calories by 400. 2073.125 - 414.6 = 1658.5 calories Well it may seem hard, its not. I am as thick as a whale omelet and i can do this. So a 45 year old, 65kg, 150cm lady needs to be taking in around 1658 calories per day to lose weight. If it's too hard maybe i can help you out.. There are other calculations, however this one is simple and there is no body fat measuring involved. My tribe (band of merry fitness ladies ) Tabatees (the fittest ladies that attend trainhard tabata regularly) For weight loss and toning in Chester le Street Trainhard tabata (10 minutes of blistering body weight exercises which are never the same and have you burning fat for hours) it's now on thursday 7pm at ladies at leisure gym-free for members. As well as all the other times and locations including the catholic club. There is nothing like trainhard tabata because: it is different every single session, it could be overloading the chest and shoulder girdle, overloading the legs, overloading the core or just full body overload. We could be doing plyometric tabata, which is jumping and exerting explosive power which has a huge metabolic after effect. My tabata's can also implement the use of weights and equipment which again can overload muscle groups and be better for muscle development. THE REASON IT'S NEVER THE SAME Adaptation is what happens to the body when you keep doing the same thing over and over again, you get used to it and use less and less calories and build less and less muscle until it becomes counter productive. That's why i am literally always banging on about changing your routine to reduce adaptation and keep on improving...that's the key baby. Rest is essential too, if you do the same exercise every day you will not rest the muscles enough to repair or grow. This can leave you smaller with a slower BMR(basal metabolic rate) burning less calories when you rest because you have less muscles. IF you haven't yet come and try trainhard tabata on monday, wednesday or thursday either at the gym or the catholic club ring LaL for details 01913874222 Glenn (trainhard tabata) Hill Is toxic stress making you fat, Newcastle
Glenn Hill Specialist Personal Trainer So there are toxins and chemicals everywhere in what you eat, drink, spray on, breath and toxins you create due to your own mental stress. Why is this important? Your liver cleans toxins (detoxification) from your body and once the liver becomes saturated it has to store those toxins somewhere until it can deal with them. Can you guess where they are stored??? in your fat, that's where. So if you are full of toxins your body will store and hold onto more fat until you get rid of toxins... "You wont be losing fat until you detox" Toxins We can help detox our liver and fat by taking things like chlorella - chlorella acts like a magnet going through the body taking out heavy metals, spirulina takes away metals and radiation. Also if you can try and eat as much organic food as possible, i know it's difficult and expensive but little things do help Mental stress Get more sleep and don't harbour any anger try and be happy, if negative thoughts get into your head about other people or yourself just get rid of them. Only one life live it happy and don't be a hater, there are loads of studies suggesting that if you are a hater you won't live as long "be happy". Have time for yourself, before meals, before bed and every day, maybe read before bed which helps you sleep too. "Breath" deep belly breathing is the quickest de-stress method try it out. Physical stress Exercise is great for us, however it puts a stress on your body releasing the stress hormone cortisol - so too much long slow boring cardio or too much exercise can be sabotaging your body too, ensure you have some rest and use the most efficient exercise (weights and intervals). Pollution Hey it's a tough one, try and spend as much time in the countryside as you can, if you live in a big city and spend all of your holidays in the big city you will be constantly ingesting and absorbing toxins - your choice. Water They say the best water for us is reverse osmosis filtered water, then normal filtered water, then bottled water and tap water is generally the worst for us. However some tap water is better than others in certain areas. Lack of sunshine Lots of people are affected by lack of sun, seasonal affected disorder syndrome(SADS) or something like that. They sit in front of infrared lamps to improve their health and make them feel happier. Actually every one is affected by lack of sun as we need the sun for good health and making vitamin D, haven't you noticed in a summer morning you get outside and feel great. Basically getting outside more is a key factor in remaining healthy and living longer. In conclusion Stress is the biggest factor stopping us losing weight and feeling great. Mental stress puts our body into its sympathetic nervous system, which is really unhealthy and stops key nutrients being absorbed. Use some of my tips above: try and always think positively about everyone, go to bed earlier, have some time for yourself every day, clean water and foods and spend some more time outside and in the countryside. So actually this conclusion is actually my ideal life? more time in the outside eating healthy and being a good person, You will live a healthier happier, skinnier longer life. Obviously if you die in a freak combine harvester accident it's not my fault. alcohol stops weight loss - chester le street - 01913874222
Glenn Hill Fitness Specialist weight loss in the North East I think by now hopefully we associate booze with weight gain and being unhealthy, the more booze the bigger belly and that's generally the way it goes. I like a drink and i say everything in moderation. Unlike carbs, protein and fat your body can't store alcohol, therefore the oxidation of alcohol takes priority over other macronutrients. So while your liver is busy trying to ditch those beers you drank, the use of fat as fuel is almost entirely suppressed. So no fat burning potentially for days after a big piss up, can ruin a diet?? Alcohol is usually calorie dense and these calories definitely add up, also alcohol dehydrates and suppresses testosterone. So good-bye abs and hello beer belly, basically booze can ruin your health and rob you of muscle if your drinking gets out of control. The problem is most people forget to add up the calories in all of their drinks, also alcohol can increase your appetite. The more you drink, the easier it is to just say "balls to this diet i am having a dominos or big fat curry. And as the song goes " if you like pina coladas something something something" forgot the words anyhoo, a big pina colada can have as much as 600 calories. Lack of sleep too can reduce weight loss and shorten your life span. Next time you are at the pub take a look around, these people that spend all of their time in the pub or eating take-aways: What do they look like What is their health like? How happy are they? Try it, it's not a pretty picture... Even better, next time you are in Macdonald's, burger king, KFC look at the people around you, over half will be obese, most will have poor health, bad skin, poor hygiene. Not all of course, and i have had the odd burger and kfc. I have an alcoholic drink most weekends, however i train most days and generally eat well so the weekend booze isn't an issue. Glenn(partial to a lager) Hill What carbs for weight loss sunderland and washington 01913874222
Glenn Hill personal trainer Well i will try and shed some light with this blog. Carbohydrates are our primary energy source and are essential for good health. We need carbs and not all carbs are bad, you shouldn't have a really low calorie diet for any longer than the odd day. I could confuse the life out of you here, but i wont, i will make it as simple as i can. I am gonna talk about simple, complex, starchy and fibrous carbs. Simple carbs single sugar molecule, these are the ones that will give you an energy spike and a low, often leaving you tired and hungry for more simple carbs. Fruit (fructose)are simple carbs and glucose naturally occuring in food. This is why lots of fruit isn't great for weight loss. You often get high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) in fizzy drinks, squash and fruit juice. HFCS is absorbed so quickly and leads to poor food choices, over eating of the wrong food and drinks. Dairy is also a simple carb. Complex carbs - starchy and fibrous Most complex carbs contain fibre and provide energy without the highs and lows of simple carbs. Complex carbs from natural sources are normally nutrient dense and therefore good for health. Starchy carbs are calorie dense and are fully absorbed into the body, so everything you eat can be stored as fat. Fibrous carbs are the best ones for weight loss and good health because fibre is the indigestible part of the plant. Therefore they have less calories per size of food and help with digestion. An example: 350 grams of rice (starchy carb) contains more than 400 calories, while 312 grams of broccoli (fibrous carb) contains just 60 calories. So doesn't it make sense to have a larger portion of fibrous carbs? I will provide a list at the bottom of the blog on starchy - fibrous. All of these fibrous carbs are great, however the carbs to try and avoid as much as possible are the refined carbs, anything that has been altered to make it taste better, look better, last longer etc. These carbs are calorie dense but also very low to no nutritional value (fibre, viatmins and minerals) refined grains and sugar products white pasta, white bread, pretzels, crisps, biscuits, sugar, sweets, pastries, soft drinks and so on. These are all high calories with no real nutritional value - SO JUST BAD BAD - avoid as much as you can. However most of these have a whole grain, whole food un altered variant, check for them. good fibrous carbs broccoli spinach asparagus cucumber tomatoes cauliflower brussel sprouts celery onions peppers cabbage mushrooms cale aubergine courgette carrots green beans lettuce Starchy potatoes butternut squash cereal bread pasta yams oats beans rice corn pumkin Basically have a little more of the complex fibrous carbs as they are filling and nutrient packed and don't send your hormones up and down, making you feel like crap. Also these complex carbs aren't a worry when it comes to diabetes. A rule of thumb here for how much carbs in your food. for fat loss roughly 40 - 45 % carbs with a good 35 - 40 % protein (meats-fish) I am running a 25% discount on personal training until march the 1st, if any ladies would like to totally change your lives. Glenn (nutrition geek) Hill ladies at leisure gym - chester le street - 01913874222 Do you eat like a sumo - self jeopardising?
PERSONAL TRAINER NORTH EAST - GLENN HILL Ladies you should read this, you see a lot of the ladies i talk to are jeopardising their health by eating at all the wrong times with the wrong food. This is why breakfast is so important, read about how sumo wrestlers eat in order to hold as much as fat as possible. Then look at the way you eat, is it the same as a sumo? Sumo Wrestlers' Tricks for Getting fat 1. Don’t eat breakfast. Sumo wrestlers never eat breakfast. This is a great way to slow your metabolism way down and will definitely ensure over eating later in the day. 2. Exercise on an empty stomach. Exercising without proper fueling, your metabolism will conserve every ounce of energy you have left to get you through the activity. So you end up burning far less calories than you would have had you eaten prior to exercising. 3. Eat only 1-2 meals each day. Sumo wrestlers get up early, work out and then don’t eat until late in the day. This way they will be starving and will eat anything they can grab and in enormous amounts. This ensures a great calorie surplus and maximum weight gain. When you eat a large amount of calories in one sitting, the body will use up what it can and then fill your extra energy reserves for later. When your storage gets full, everything left over is stored directly as fat. 4. Drink beer. Sumo wrestlers drink large amounts of beer with their meals. For a sumo wrestler, the bigger the belly the better! 5. Eat out. Many studies have found that people eating in a restaurant will eat 40% more food and 30% more fat then they would if they were at home. Sumo wrestlers like to distract each other while eating to make sure they don't notice those "getting full" signals. They also always have someone else cook for them so they don't pay attention to fat or ingredients. 6. Sleep after eating. When they finish their large meals, the wrestlers will take a long nap. Going to sleep on a full stomach forces the body to store most of the calories as fat because it doesn’t have the ability to metabolize large amounts of food while sleeping. So, I bet a lot of this is sound really familiar! I know they do to me… Getting up early, skipping breakfast, running to the gym, eating a late (large) lunch and an even later (larger) dinner and then heading to bed… This is the busy American life style that many people live. When working as many hours as most do, it is easy to eat like a sumo wrestler! PERSONAL TRAINER NORTH EAST Personal trainer glenn hill Cosmetics can make you fat - North East Ladies
Glenn Hill personal trainer Hey my tribe This is an interesting one, we already know that we ingest lots of pesticides, chemicals, heavy metals and hormones from the food we eat. These chemicals are then stored in your fat, also more fat cells are produced to house these toxins...basically losing weight or getting fitter can sometimes be impossible due to the toxicity of your body. Did you also know ladies you will be paying for vanity too, you absorb up to 60% of the substances applied to your skin. Some of these "arguably " are needed for moisture etc. Lots of cosmetics are not PH neutral and again are filling your adipose tissue (fat) with toxins, the average women absorbs 4lb 6oz of cosmetics each year "4lb or 2 bags of sugar in weight of cosmetics absorbed" SO...again if your fat is just storing fat, you can't burn fat...simples. So this again is telling us for our health we need to detox, more sun, more sweating, more fresh air, less food toxins-organic, alcohol and coffee breaks, detox tea, chlorella, spirulina etc. It's a big deal, if you have never detoxed then it's definitely time now. Personal trainer glenn hill As a Fitness type dealing with folks excuses on a day to day so i have looked into how much time we spend doing stuff as an average each month...keep reading it gets interesting. So monthly on average we do : you can guess which one fails at the bottom, keep reading 420 hours a month sat down, is it any wonder our bums are fat and cusioned...we obviously need it. 135 hours a month at work....go the workers. 120 hours a month watching TV, obviously sat down building our big bums. 43 hours a month on the internet-on our behinds 40 hours a month driving, again on our bums. eating garage junk food most probs..."Dam little Chef" lol. 6.9 hours a month on Flakebook bigging our-selfs up and telling everyone how hard our PT session was.(good effort) 3.2 hours a month on fitness - 50 minutes a week on fitness the one thing that provides the energy for all the other activities in our day. The one thing that helps make you look good naked and helps you live longer and healthier for your kids. These are just the averages, your times will be different, some better-some worse I think i am relatively fit because: "I spend more time doing exercise than i do watching tv" "I spend more time at work than watching tv" "I spend much more time moving than watching tv" "So if you are unhappy with the way you look and you spend more time watching tv than you do on exercise - then it's you to blame" However even 50 minutes a week doing the right exercise can have a huge effect, think about it. 1 x 50 minute session, one period in afterburn 2 or 3 metafits great afterburn and effect 5 x trainhard tabatas, because its 5 x in the afterburn it must be the best effect of all three (no arguments) five times in the afterburn or EPOC is better than three or one National chip week is ridiculous and should be banned Personal Trainer Newcastle Well I almost choked today when i heard it was national chip week, i realise we have an affinity with potatoes which have been a staple diet in the UK for decades and that they probably helped us through the great war. However they are not one of our best sources of nutrients or energy. Of all of our vegetables you could argue that the humble potato is the one you should eat less of, you see its a dense vegetable with a lot of calories which are all absorbed. Unlike cauliflower, broccoli etc which are fibrous carbs which per weight have much less calories than potato. The other issue is generally chips are deep fried, or fried using one of the less healthy fats and normally covered in salt and vinegar. Chips are often and normally eaten with the other blacklisted foods such as ready made meals, burgers, pies, monster mixed grills and deep fried mars bars etc........well you get the idea. If you had a small amount of chips oven cooked with broccoli and other steamed veg with a chicken breast then it wouldn't be too bad, however that's just not how it goes. NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION So last time i checked the UK was the second most obese country in the world, the North East the second most obese area in Europe, North east is runner up in UK for child-hood obesity and diabetes and County Durham and Easington in particular was one of the most unhealthy places to live in Europe. And we promote chip week and how awesome chips are all over the North Easts own "Real Radio" - "mmm good move. Hey appologies for just ranting a bit, but just want to help people really know whats going on with food Glenn (Just popping out for a macdonald's) Hill Tell me you have seen the film Dodgeball, if not this blog is totally wasted on you.... "Exceptional Janes Gym
Average Joes Gym North East 01913874222 So the plot: This big monster of a gym "Globo Gym" tries to close down the little family run friendly Gym "Average Joes". In the end they compete in a dodgeball competition to see who's gym wins. It's a great film and unlike real life the little friendly family gym wins and puts Globo Gym out of business...awesome and hilarious. Well Ladies at Leisure is that friendly little gym, where all of the staff know your name and are your friends. Now as far as i know none of our ladies are pirates, however who knows what they get up to behind closed doors. "If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a dodge-ball" we don't throw wrenches at our members either....could be a good motivator though. What we are all about is education:
"We are better than you and we know it" If you want to get fitter, lose weight and gain muscle then Average Joes is for you... "if you can dodge traffic you can dodge a ball" If you want to be part of the LaL family or my tribe just pop down and check us out, unlike Globo gym you can train in our gym to see if you like it before you sign away your life. We have pay as you go: daily, monthly, 3 monthly, 6 monthly etc. Any similarity between Globo gym and Bannantynes is purely coincidental: "we are better than you and we know it" lol. Ladies at Leisure is similar to average joes in the fact that our members are our family/tribe/clan and we care about them. If you haven't been to LaL since it has been taken over by ex Soldier Glenn pop down and check it out. "However our members are far from average, the fittest ladies in the area....boom. We have ladies over 50 years of age who can smash the Army fitness standards and achieve the maximum score (the 300 club). This can't happen by the way by doing endless slow cardio!! *Food Allergy & Intolerance testing*** DO YOU FEEL OR HAVE: Tired all the time Chronic headaches Nausea Abdominal pains Joint pain Skin problems Anxiety IBS Bloating Low mood Weight loss issues Lots of these symptoms have been removed simply by stopping consuming one food type. You could try an elimination diet which has you dropping food types week on week and studying how you feel. The most effective method is to have a lorisian blood test and to be advised on what is the cause of your bodily issues. Glenn Hill is a now food intolerance practitioner which means i can test and advise you on any diet changes you might NEED to make. Between 45 and 75% of us have some food intolerance's and of the tests sent to lorisian 95% come back with at least one intolerance. Lorisian testing is the most in depth testing available to the market, as well as the tests we provide nutrition support and advice to ensure a healthier you. WEIGHT LOSS AND FITNESS If you are eating a food that disagrees with your body, you will not be achieving peak fitness and will always find it hard to lose weight.
