The reason i am telling you this is because i am currently carrying an Army
Parachuting injury : compression at the base of my spine and ribs.
Most people would take this an awful thing however i am using it
as an experiment to see how people feel when they eat the wrong
sorts of food and don't exercise.
The idea here is to have a much better understanding of how my
tribe, clients and public feel when they are living an unhealthy
life in order to be able to associate and help them more
empathetically.
Also to prove that you can change the way you look and feel pretty
quickly if you are strict with nutrition and are motivated.
I can't train yet so i have decided to eat the foods i would
normally avoid or reserve for the odd occasion and drink too much
alcohol in order to GET FAT(Boom mental lol)
So far two weeks in and i allready have a little pot belly, but
more importantly this is how i feel:
1. I have started to feel a little down, almost depressed and sad.
2. A total lack of energy and motivation, can't be bothered to go
into work or do exercise.
3. My sleeping has got worse.
4. I am getting told that i look pale.
5. Lots of aches and pains in places that i don't normally have
them.
6. Prefer to spend time in the house or just dont feel motivated
enough to get outside.
7. I am noticing that my t-shirts dont fit well because of my
belly, having to really hold my gut in.
Basically i am feeling rubbish and the thing here is if you
constantly make the wrong food choices and avoid exercise this is
what you are doing TO YOURSELVES.
YOU WONT KNOW BECAUSE YOU ARE USED TO FEELING CRAP - ITS NORMAL FOR
YOU!
What's happening to me then?
The lack of the correct nutrients ensures your body doesn't
function well and you dont create enough energy for optimal life.
The extra toxin and chemical intake ensures extra fat cell
production because it's the fat cells and tissue where toxins are
stored.
When your body has a high chemical, PH and toxin level your body
has a weakened immune system and is more suseptable to disease, it
has been proven that the PH or acid level of a cell effects the
life of a cell. So if you are constantly full of toxins like most
people these days you will live a shorter unhealthier life than
that of some one who is PH neutral or even alkali.
Eating certain greens and avoiding alcohol will help with being PH
neutral or being balanced.
The extra calories and the type of calories I.E processed
carbohydrates are easily and quickly stored as fat and negatively
effecting my bodies hormonal balance, another reason i am tired and
grumpy.
Our bodies haven't got a storage facility for alcohol so after a
few pints our number 1 priority is to remove the alcohol and while
this is happening other functions dont work or dont work as well,
for example fat loss simply isn't going on when you are hung over.
Again a hang over is your body trying to ditch the alcohol and
during this time again we are much more suseptable to illness and
disease, alcohol is normally highly acidic too (high PH).
The slight change in weight, the hormonal damage, the lack of
nutrients, reduction of blood flow to tissues and joints and the
fact our reptilian brain thinks it's under threat (CNS - central
nervous system) are all factors contributing the pain and tiredness
of joints and muscles.
Feeling threated and having poor nutrition and feeling stressed
will be placing my body into its sympathetic nervous system more
often. This is our flight or fight response mode, okay for short
bursts to escape danger or to win a 100m sprint, but catastrophic
for normal life this really does effect everything and everything.
Increased fat storing hormone cortisol and less and less time in
the rebuild and rest nervous system, if you are not spending time
in the para sympathetic system (rest system) them your body just
isn't repairing itself.
Too long in the wrong nervous system is litterally curtains, have
you ever noticed the rapid deterioration of a friend or family
member during a very stressful episode? its because they are not
repairing their body.
ITS A LOT OF NEGATIVE STUFF ISNT IT? JUST BY LIVING AN UNHEALTHY
LIFE
So i am doing this for a good reason, but it's not something to be
taken lightly. Eating too many claories increases fat cells and
these FAT CELLS NEVER GO AWAY. When i get back to an excellent
shape and feel healthy i will still have the extra fat cells, only
they will be empty. So when you are thinking oh i will start my
new exercise regime next week you could be adding new PERMANENT fat
cells.
Well hopefully i have scared you enough and past on enough
knowledge to keep you interested, please keep your eyes peeled for
the before and after pics and the full story once i have got back
down to my racing weight.
