Yes it Can,
Personal Trainer Durham Glenn Hill 07983570574

Personal Trainer Glenn Hill talking about the health related things you can do to make your life a whole lot better.   Lets face it living in 2015 is tough, there are so many difficulties these days, with stress, depression, loneliness, lack of self esteem and confidence, anxiety and lack of energy.

Exercise  or being active can literally save your life, dont worry it doesn’t have to be a real tough exercise class, there are lots to do:

Energy

Mountain biking or Walking

You could even say that biking and walking can hugely improve all of the above.  As an avid mountain biker i felt relaxed, energised and complete as i travelled the lakes and mountains of Central Europe and Canada.

Some of the happiest and best times in my recollection are on two wheels in the countyside.
Confidence

Weight Training

Putting on lean muscle gives great confidence to women and men.  Maybe it relates back to our caveman days, but strong is the new sexy and people carrying lean muscle are always confident and generally happy.

For weight loss and a toned bod, there isnt anything more effective than throwing weights around.
Stress

Boxing or Boxercise

Stress and stress at a situation or individual can be easily reduced or removed by punching a bag or pads. Just think of the thing that you hate and imagine you are punching it.

I love taking my PT clients on boxing sessions, they always finish with a big smile on their faces.

Adding boxing training to weight training= best results.
Loneliness

Group Sports

Group sports is a great way of staying fit and meeting new people.
It doesn’t have to be football or such it could be bowls, tennis, netball or even walking football.

Maybe even a reading club or other non exercise club, is such a great way of meeting your next partner.

If times are hard then it’s best to get out and socialise.
Anxiety

Yoga

Yoga is a great way of staying supple and functional.  Renowned for reducing anxiousness, stress and improving fitness.

Also good for the mind and for helping with relaxation.

There is no good reason not to try yoga.

Even some of the breathing that yoga uses are a great way of improving health.
Depression

Being in the Outdoors

So this could tie in with everything else too, meet people, exercise, relax and de-stress.

Just getting outside and seeing nature and sucking in some much needed fresh air is the tonic everyone needs.

I often take my PT clients out in the sun with their bare feet on the ground - amazing

What else can make a real difference in making your life easier?

Neuro Linguistic Programing or NLP
One of the things that i use to get the best from my clients and ensure that they can be the best versions of themselves is NLP.

NLP uses simple programs that speak volumes to an individuals sub conscious.  Often individuals have personal issues that they can work on like:  self limiting beliefs, foods that they would like to stop eating, motivation issues, confidence issues and anything and everything else.

For example:

Recently i helped an online PT client with morning motivation for exercise by building a physical resource anchor (touching a knuckle to improve energy and drive) and by giving him more personal motivation by conducting a simple trance like exercise.

Basically folks there are loads of tools above to ensure that your mind is in a great place in order to help your body be amazing.  It might take a bit of confidence trying something new, but after you do a whole new positive life is waiting for you.
