Personal Training Damac Hills

(there is a lot about me below, just so you know my story. When training or coaching its only about the you, "understand before being understood" outside the box and coaching the human person and not the issue or goal)
Originally from Hartlepool, I've lived and studied at 13 different schools across the UK and Portugal. After joining the British Army as an Engineer, I soon discovered that fitness, pushing myself to the limit, adventure, and the great outdoors were my passions.
Over my 20-year career, I completed all of the Army courses I wanted, including becoming an Army Advanced Diver (Frogman), Fitness Instructor 3&2, and achieving top marks in the P Coy Para Course, where I was even named "Champion Para". However, I was injured in a vehicle explosion on New Year's Eve in Afghanistan's Helmand Province, which affected my neck.
As a former competitive athlete and adventurer, I've participated in numerous events, including marathons, triathlons, Army slalom kayaking, Megavalanche (the world's longest downhill race), indoor climbing competitions, and biathlon ski championships.
With my wealth of experience, I've coached a wide range of activities, from Military training to kayaking, mountain biking, and mountaineering. I've also run and trained on expeditions across the world, including Canada, the French Alps, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and more.
After leaving the forces, I've focused on education and have dedicated myself to helping others. I'm currently based in Durham and offer my expertise in personal training, mentoring other trainers, and volunteering for charities.
In my free time, I enjoy Tough Mudder and mountain biking, and I've even had the pleasure of appearing as an extra in the blockbuster movie "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" as a rebel soldier.
With a passion for helping others and a dedication to my values, I believe that helping people is the perfect career for me.

My Values
Its really about being a decent human being and doing the best you can for other people, hey these I have learnt and developed. I Honestly dont hate anyone now, even after being conned out of a busines for a fortune, bullied on social media and in the Army as young lad, this might seem alien to some people, if you hold hatred toward anyone the only person who we damage is ourselves. (damage caused in the head also manifests itself as real physical damage to our body). It turns out that some businesses have zero moral codes and integrity, I can help balance a clients life who is STUCK in one of these jobs.
So here we go:
Integrity:
Or being honest, is probably the most important thing in a job and even with my tribe. How can you be credible if you are a liar, I am forever honest to my clients, gym members and friends(my tribe). Because there are so many blatant lies regarding food, fitness and health you just need honesty sometimes.
Enthusiasm:
Life certainly is tough and it can sometimes be hard to keep your morale up, I will always show a genuine liking for what I do because helping people is genuinely great. Enthusiasm breeds enthusiasm after all.
Respect for others:
Putting others ahead of yourself is awesome, everybody deserves respect redardless of any issue. I dont believe the misconception that overweight people are lazy, they may just need some honest advice (integrity) or a little help and guidance.
Giving extra:
Personal training is a job and some people treat it as such, I believe in giving my all to ensure my clients meet goals and change their lives for better and for good. This is why I have personally spent thousands on my own knowledge including nutrition courses, Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner, BodyMap coach, Sports Massage, Applied Movement Neurology, Website building, marketing and Crossfit. I have ensured I can give extra, give more than my competitors.
Teamwork:
We are much stronger as a team and can achieve so more than the sum total of our individual efforts. My clients, my tribe are a team and thats how and why we achieve more than the rest.
