The French paradox is something that has bewildered nutrition and fitness types for a while.
The food the French eat has clearly been full of carbs and fat and isnt good for ya, however for years the french have been baffling us with their good health. That's what's know as the French paradox.
Its getting worse now for them.....as they understand they are eating crap!!!
YOU SEE:
If you eat bad food but are happy, relaxed and enjoying your food your body will be in its para sympathetic nervous system. All this means is your body diverts blood to digestive system to aid proper digestion and saliva to the mouth for the same reason. It's also a build and repair system which is great to replace lost energy and build muscle.
If you eat great healthy food but are stressed your body will be in its sympathetic, flight or fight system. This means your blood will be taken from digestive system and cortisol(stress hormone) will fill your body ensuring poor digestion and holding onto fat. Its like having a cortisol soup starter with every meal.....
So you can almost say its more important to be happy and relaxed when you eat than what you eat......
A HUGE HUGE top tip, before your big meals lunch and dinner spend just one minute slow diaphragm breathing, which if done properly will ensure you will be healthier, fitter and skinnier: (French paradox)
