In the past I have toyed with and planned month or longer habit changing bootcamps to reset people habits and help them become the best versions of themselves.
Years later I found myself in a deep hole, lost my confidence, lost my mojo and doubting my self worth, alongside bad habits that could shorten my life.
A move to another Country where I have re-set, re-calibrated and already feel a million dollars in short amount of time. The change of location is sometime essential and the only way!
You see: If you are living your worst life and a constant negative ground hog day of toxic life, love, job or friends its almost impossible to change because you have built layer upon layer of self limiting habits and are surrounded by triggers to ensure these habits continue.
Any feel like this: Died at 40 buried at 80 basically having given up
The saying goes "Removing an old bad habit is like uprooting a mighty oak tree and starting a new positive habit is like nurturing a delicate flower" you see the issue?
This is true, unless: you move location for enough time to forget the self damaging habits and establish new life fulfilling habits. So a long holiday or a new life in anew location. Before you tell yourself you cant because of family commitments, ask yourself this question: Am i giving my family the best of me or am I a shadow of myself just surviving? what an example to give.
They use to believe that habits could be formed over 15 days, now its understood that it really takes between 70 or 80 days depending greatly on how deep routed the habit is.
Whats the moral of this story? : sometimes you NEED a change of circumstance or location to fix deep routed habits, escape black holes or just CHANGE. After all "If you always do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got"
So chin up, pull your socks up and take action: "Love Yourselves, from Glenn"
