I love this saying and use it daily at work to emphasise that action is essential for a change in life style.
"IF YOU ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS DONE YOU WILL ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS GOT". Basically if your life is stuck life is stuck, then taking action must be your only action.
Honestly, amazing self belief by cultivating confidence is not only possible but amazing and rewarding. However you need to start now.
TAKE THESE ACTIONS NOW
- Write down what makes you happy and sad, and confident and not. Then plan in more things that make you feel happy and confident, also try to remove things that sadden you if you can. For me its things like avoiding morning news on TV.
- Loudly and verbally tell yourself each morning how you want to be each day. I shout and tell myself on the way to work "Glenn be clear, be concise and confident and you are going to smash the day". Every day I really do this and its like dynamite, might also tap my thymus while I am doing it. Without going into to to much detail, I am doing affirmations and incantations daily. MY BEST SELF EVERY DAY I NEED TO BE.
- Finally, during every issue and situation during the day before reacting "STOP TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND COUNT DOWN FROM 5 TO 1". This will allow your human brain to take over and deal with every issue rather than the chimp brain who usually replies badly (self defence emotional reactions that we all do immediately)
If you do nothing I can promise that nothing changes.
